Common name: Banknotes of Design A, Design B and Design C (before 1963) was known as "Cara Volteada" (turned face) because the face direction of the Marshal Sucre, which portrait was changed in banknotes design after 1963 (Design E).
Design variations in the reverse: From Design A, Type A, with a change of the lowest motto in the Coat of Arms from "EEUU DE VENEZUELA" to "REPUBLICA DE VENEZUELA" «Republic of Venezuela», due to the country name change by the new constitution.
