  • Obverse: Circular rim with dentacles beading. In the center, bust of Simon Bolivar facing left (from the viewer's perspective) with "BARRE" below (from the original engraver). Surrounding the field,, on the top "BOLÍVAR", "LIBERTADOR" in the exergue and 4 stars on each side.
  • Reverse: Circular rim with dentacles beading. In the center, over the field the face value "50 CÉNTIMOS" and body of the Coat of Arms, the face value over three ondulated lines that symbolize the three stripes of the flag.
