General: Circular shape with continous grained edge.
Obverse: Circular rim with dentacles beading. In the center, over the field, bust of Simon Bolivar facing right (from the viewer's perspective) with "BARRE" below (from the original engraver), surrounded by the legends "Bolívar" at left and "LIBERTADOR" at right. At lower left, the legend "ESSAI", that indicates that it's a coin pattern.
Reverse: Circular rim with dentacles beading. In the center, over the field, Coat of Arms with the motto "INDEPENDENcia", "LIBERTAD", "5 DE JULIO 1811", "28 DE MARZO 1864" and "DIOS Y FEDon". Surrounding the field, the legend "ESTADOS UNIDOS DE VENEZUELA" «United States of Venezuela», the weight "GR. 8,0645", the year and the metallic millesimal fineness "LEI 900".
