General: Circular shape with continous oblique grained edge.
Obverse: Circular rim with dot beading. In the center, over the field, bust of Liberty facing right with loose hair and a Phrygian cap on his head. Along the base of the cap the legend "LIBERTAD". Surrounding the field, the legend "REPUBLICA DE VENEZUELA" «Republic of Venezuela».
Reverse: Circular rim with dot beading. In the center, over the field within a laurel wreath linked from the bottom, the face value "1" / "CENTAVO" and the year.
Note about amount of pieces: It's unknown the precise amount of coins minted for 1862 and 1863.
